USAA Delivered Over $447M in Shutdown Relief, Continues to Serve Impacted Members
With the federal government reopened, USAA has ended its loan product for this Fall 2025 shutdown. The Association is continuing to offer payment relief for the time being. More details are available at usaa.com/relief.
Throughout the 43 days of this recent shutdown, USAA stepped up for military service members and federal employees who experienced pay impacts. In total, the Association delivered over $447 million in relief to more than 127,000 members:
- Approximately 119,000 loans to support members experiencing paycheck disruptions, totaling $417million
- Over 19,100 consumer loan payment extensions, helping members free up $24 million for more immediate needs
- More than 15,200 credit card payment extensions, totaling $6 million
- Waived or refunded overdraft fees for more than 63,000 deposit accounts
