USAA Receives Highest Overall Score in JD Power 2026 U.S. Home Insurance Study
For the 24th consecutive year, USAA earned a customer satisfaction score higher than every home insurer evaluated in the study, reflecting its focus on delivering value for members as families navigate cost-of-living pressures
SAN ANTONIO – USAA received the highest overall customer satisfaction score among all insurers evaluated in the JD Power 2026 U.S. Home Insurance StudySM, continuing a 24-year streak of earning the highest score in the study. USAA earned a score of 741 in homeowners insurance, 97 points above the segment average, and 731 in renters insurance, 49 points above the segment average. The achievement comes as JD Power identified affordability and perceived value as key drivers of customer trust and satisfaction across the insurance industry.
“Receiving the highest customer satisfaction score by JD Power for the 24th consecutive year reflects our unwavering commitment to serving military members, veterans and their families,” said Randy Termeer, USAA Property & Casualty President. “Our members place tremendous trust in us to help protect what matters most, and that responsibility is especially important as families navigate rising costs. We remain focused on delivering exceptional service, value and support at every stage of their insurance journey.”
The annual study measures customer satisfaction with homeowners insurance providers across factors that influence the customer experience, including price, policy offerings, billing, claims and interactions with insurers. JD Power's 2026 findings highlighted the importance of delivering value and meeting evolving customer expectations amid ongoing economic pressures.
USAA's performance reflects a continued focus on helping members make informed insurance decisions through intuitive digital tools, personalized guidance and dedicated support tailored to military life. By helping members better understand their coverage options and insurance needs, USAA strives to deliver protection, value and confidence in their financial decisions. This focus becomes especially important as many homeowners across the country continue to face higher insurance costs and increased pressure on household budgets.
While USAA is not included in the study's official rankings because its products and services are available only to eligible military community members and their families, JD Power reports USAA's score alongside ranked carriers and notes when the company outperforms the study segment.
